On February 15th, 2020, Re-sonate held its 2nd annual convention at the SAC (WCP). Our theme was authenticity, so we decided to base each event on our timeline on what it truly means to be vulnerable and offering a safe space for women to freely discuss challenges + solutions.

 

In general, the Re-sonate convention strives to empower undergraduate women interested in technology through an annual day-long convention at the University of Texas at Austin. We recognize that hands-on exposure, insight from professionals in the field, defined visions of the future, and self-reflection are crucial to advancing forward, and we want to create a more local and accessible place for women to actively seek out these measures.

 

This convention is a low-cost, day-long affair (meals included), consisting of technical skills workshops, lunch with professors, and a peer-led discussion on the trials of being female in the tech industry in an effort to find solutions to common problems.
