Brian Rogers has over 25 years of professional experience and has worked with many of the world’s largest investors providing macroeconomic and geopolitical insights. Brian is also a recognized expert in helping foreign executives improve their communication skills with a particular focus on interactions with US and European-based investors. He has extensive sell and buy-side experience and knowledge of both fixed income and equity markets globally.
Brian started his professional career in the United States Marine Corps where he was a decorated member of a Special Forces infantry unit, 3rd ANGLICO in Long Beach, California.
Later, Brian became a fixed income trader at PIMCO where he was a portfolio associate for world famous bond manager Bill Gross. After PIMCO, Brian worked in fixed income credit derivative sales at Deutsche Bank for 5 years where he sold credit default swaps on all types of structured products to AIG FP and the monoline insurance carriers.
After Deutsche Bank, Brian worked with the Safra family in New York to help build their institutional capital markets presence. He then ran the international sales effort for Banco Fator, a Brazilian broker dealer. He then headed the emerging markets sales effort for Espirito Santo Financial Services (now Haitong) where he focused on the Brazilian, Indian and Polish equity markets.
Most recently, Brian was the head of human resources and training & development for Markets Group, a financial events planning company. In this role, Brian led classes on the financial markets, oversaw the training of all sales staff and organized the interviewing and hiring of all new employees.
Brian currently teaches business communications classes at the NYU Stern School of Business in the Langone Part-Time MBA program and also at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business in their Masters of Science in Quantitative Finance Program. Brian holds a BS in Finance from California State University at Long Beach and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
